Juliette Sales
Juliette Sales studied in Sciences-Po, ESSEC and the University of Kent in Canterbury, before working as a producer for UGC Images. At the same time, Fabien Suarez starts as a stand-up comedian on numerous theater stages, while writing and directing several series of short-films for cable TV channels.
In 1998, they still don’t know each other but they both start writing scripts. Fabien co-writes more than ten scripts for 90 minutes TV series before turning to the big screen and writing a new adaptation of Treasure Island, directed by Alain Berberian. Meanwhile, Juliette works with various directors : Bourlem Guerdjou for Zaïna, raider of the Atlas, Stéphane Brizé for Not here to be loved (4 nominations at 2006 Césars), Agnès Merlet for Dorothy, (4 nominations at the 2009 IFTAS) and Gérald Hustache Matthieu for Poupoupidou.
In 2011, they team up. Since then, they have co-written the Belle & Sébastien trilogy, produced by Gaumont and directed by Nicolas Vanier (2013), Christian Duguay (2015) and Clovis Cornillac (2017). They have also adapted a live-action Spirou (the Belgian cartoon character).
In 2018, they become producers as well as screenwriters, and start developing their own subjects in close collaboration with directors such as Olivier Babinet (Swagger) and Pablo Munoz Gomez.
They are currently working with Houda Benyamina’s (Divines) on a feature film. Together, Juliette and Fabien have directed two short films, Supergirl and Samouraï.
