Sascha A. Akhtar

Sascha A. Akhtar is an #ACE supported writer, the author of 8 books of poetry, fiction & translation. Akhtar has performed poetry internationally, most recently at Desert Stanzas at the Emirates Festival of Literature 2022.
She has worked in primary schools holding creative translation workshops with the Stephen Spender Trust. Akhtar teaches poerty at the University of Greenwich, Poetry School London and with other not-for-profit organizations in the U.K. She has been judge for the Stephen Spender Prize, Streetcake Prize for Experimental Writing and Greenwich/Goldsmith’s Poetry Prize.
