Adapted from the popular comic book series by Marguerite Abouet and Clément Oubrerie, the film follows the adventures of Aya, a 19-year-old girl living in Yopougon, Ivory Coast, at the end of the 1970s. Aya is a serious girl who works hard and never gets in trouble, but when her best friend accidentally becomes pregnant, her life is turned upside down…
